Every summer, the San Leonardo Lakes in Vermiglio, the last town in Val di Sole before the Tonale Pass, host Laghetti in Festa, one of the most anticipated events in the upper valley. The festival is organized by Pro Loco Vermiglio Vacanze and takes place in the picturesque area of the three alpine lakes, at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters, amidst meadows, forests, and a stunning mountain backdrop perfect for days of conviviality and tradition.

Mountain cuisine and Trentino flavors

The heart of the festival is traditional Trentino cuisine, served in a spacious outdoor area equipped for guests. Lunch features traditional dishes such as strangolapreti (spinach dumplings) and Val di Sole honey-glazed ribs with polenta, followed by a delicious Sacher torte. For dinner, the menu shifts to a more rustic and convivial offering, with tortei de patate (traditional potato fritters), local cold cuts, grilled lucanica sausage, and fruit tart. Throughout the day, fries and sandwiches are also available, perfect for a tasty break by the lakes.

Dance evenings under the stars

As evening falls, the festival transforms into a dance party: the notes of Nadia's accordion accompany ballroom dancing and folk music, in a festive tradition that brings together residents, vacationers, and tourists passing through Val di Sole. The evening lighting of the lake area creates a warm and intimate atmosphere, perfect for extending the evening outdoors.
