Arrone, the blooming village
La Terra in Fiore is the spring event of Arrone, a medieval village perched at the entrance of the Valnerina valley, in the province of Terni. The heart of the festival is the Castle district, the oldest and most panoramic part of the town, which for a weekend in April transforms into a widespread garden, with floral arrangements along the alleys and small squares.
Art, craftsmanship, and flavors of the Valnerina
The program combines painting exhibitions, displays of local craftsmanship, book presentations, workshops for schools, and free tastings of typical agri-food products. Particularly appreciated are the guided tours "Tales of the Castle", led by the residents, and the extraordinary openings of the tower. The event is part of the project "Arrone, Traditions, Events, Taste in Valnerina", funded by GAL Ternano for the promotion of the cultural heritage and local products.
The descent of Spring
The highlight is the descent of "Spring" from the Civic Tower, an acrobatic performance curated by the local section of the Italian Alpine Club, which lowers a symbolic figure of the season from the top of the tower. A scenic gesture that celebrates the awakening of nature and embodies the spirit of the festival.

The XXIII edition of La Terra in Fiore returns to Arrone from April 17 to 19, 2026, in the Castle district. The program combines painting exhibitions, local crafts, book presentations, workshops with schools, and free tastings of typical Valnerina products, with the guided tours "Tales of the Castle". The highlight on Sunday the 19th is the descent of "Spring" from the Civic Tower.

- 3:30 PM — Presentation of the book "Faccio sempre le elementari" by Maria Rosaria Angelini, moderated by Patrizia Giacobbi

How to get here
Arrone is located along the SS209 Valnerina, a few kilometers from the Marmore Waterfall. By car from the E45 or the highway to Terni; the reference train station is Terni. The festival takes place in the Castle district, in the upper part of the village.
