Trecate's summer evening of local commerce, music, stalls, and entertainment
La Notte Rosa is one of the most anticipated events of the Trecate summer: an evening where the historic center of Trecate, in the Province of Novara, Piedmont, comes alive until late at night with music, open shops, food stalls, and activities for all ages. Originally created to promote local commerce, the event has quickly transformed into a genuine town festival capable of drawing thousands of people to the arcades and squares of the center.
The heart of the event is Piazza Cavour, the main square of Trecate, around which the streets of the historic center—closed to traffic for the occasion—spread out. Along the route, there are over fifty merchants, stalls, art displays, car and motorcycle exhibitions, performances by local dance schools, and numerous refreshment points set up by shopkeepers and local associations.
La Notte Rosa is designed as a widespread and inclusive festival: alongside the merchant stalls, there is entertainment for children, including themed face painting, mascots, and a selfie booth, as well as moments dedicated to solidarity thanks to the presence of local volunteer groups. The evening traditionally concludes with a show in Piazza Cavour, featuring pop music, DJ sets, light shows, and spectacular scenery entirely themed around the color pink, the symbol of the event.
La Notte Rosa is promoted by the Municipality of Trecate together with the Pro Loco Trecate and the departments of Commerce and Events, with the involvement of local merchants and associations. Admission is free, and the event represents one of the highlights of the city's summer calendar.
The 2026 edition of the Trecate Notte Rosa is confirmed for Saturday, July 4, 2026. As per tradition, Piazza Cavour and the streets of the historic center will be enlivened by merchant stalls, food stands, and entertainment initiatives for all ages, leading up to the evening show.
The organization, managed by the Municipality of Trecate together with the Pro Loco and the departments of Commerce and Events, has begun collecting registrations from merchants and exhibitors for the use of public spaces along the festival route.
The detailed program for the 2026 Notte Rosa (line-up for the evening show, times, and activities) will be announced by the Municipality of Trecate and the Pro Loco in the weeks leading up to the event.
Based on past editions, the day traditionally includes:
The fifth edition of the Trecate summer commerce festival, with the historic center closed to traffic and an evening show in Piazza Cavour.
La Notte Rosa is traditionally held on a summer evening between June and July, with entertainment from late afternoon until late at night.
Piazza Cavour and the streets of the historic center of Trecate (NO), in the heart of the city. The center is closed to traffic for the occasion.
Access to the event is free.
