The Italian summer New Year's Eve on the Riviera Romagnola
La Notte Rosa is more than just an event: it's the ritual that officially opens summer on the Riviera Romagnola. Born in 2006 as the Adriatic's answer to the "Notte Bianca" (White Night), it has become the largest distributed festival in Emilia-Romagna, capable of transforming the entire coast into one immense party zone for three days. From Rimini to Riccione, from Cattolica to Cervia, from Comacchio to Ferrara, over thirty municipalities participate with squares, beaches, and promenades illuminated in pink.
The heart of the event is music: stages overlooking the sea, national radio stations broadcasting live from the Riviera, DJ sets, and free concerts featuring the biggest stars of the Italian music scene. Alongside the main stages in Rimini and Riccione, each location offers its own program, allowing you to move from a pop concert to a jazz sunrise on the beach, from a dance performance to a street artist exhibition.
The symbolic moment remains the midnight fireworks display: fireworks light up simultaneously along the entire coast, from Comacchio to Cattolica, creating a unique spectacle reflected on the Adriatic Sea.
La Notte Rosa falls, not by chance, around the summer solstice, the longest and brightest night of the year. From this coincidence arises one of the festival''s most beloved traditions: sunrise concerts on the beach, where the sun rises over the sea accompanied by live music. It's an intimate and evocative experience that has made the event famous far beyond regional borders.
Promoted by the coastal municipalities with the coordination of the Emilia-Romagna Region, La Notte Rosa is a popular and free celebration, designed for families, young people, and tourists. In addition to music, the program includes food and wine events, exhibitions, theater performances, sports, and wellness activities that also involve the villages and hills of the Romagna hinterland, from the Province of Rimini to the Ferrara and Ravenna areas.
The 21st edition of La Notte Rosa takes place from June 19th to 21st, 2026 under the slogan "Hit's Summer", on the summer solstice weekend. For three days, the Riviera Romagnola transforms into a continuous stage: over thirty municipalities, from Comacchio and Ferrara to Cattolica, offer concerts, DJ sets, shows, fireworks, and the unmissable sunrise concerts by the sea. Music is the absolute protagonist, with national radio stations broadcasting live from the coast and a lineup of major names from the Italian scene.
Program subject to constant updates: further events will be announced in the weeks preceding the festival.
Rimini is served by the A14 motorway (Rimini Nord and Rimini Sud exits) and the Adriatic railway line, with Rimini station just a few minutes from the seafront. Federico Fellini Airport in Rimini-Miramare and Bologna Airport provide air connections. During La Notte Rosa, public transport services are enhanced, and special night trains run along the Riviera line.
Almost all events are free and held outdoors. During the three days, traffic changes, pedestrian zones, and temporary bans (glass containers, scooters) are implemented in the event areas: it's advisable to consult the ordinances of individual municipalities.
The Riviera offers thousands of hotels and B&Bs; during La Notte Rosa, demand is very high, so booking well in advance is recommended.
