The Italian Summer New Year's Eve on the Romagna Riviera
La Notte Rosa is the grand festival that inaugurates summer every year on the Romagna Riviera: an "Italian Summer New Year's Eve" that has colored the entire coast pink since 2006, from Comacchio to Cattolica. In Bellaria-Igea Marina, on the coast of the province of Rimini in Emilia-Romagna, the event transforms into a long weekend of widespread celebration along the promenades, squares, and beaches, with events designed for families, young people, and the curious.
The theme of the XXI edition, scheduled from June 19 to 21, 2026, is "Hit's Summer", a tribute to the music that accompanies holidays and the warm season. In Bellaria-Igea Marina, the musical thread intertwines with the most beloved traditions of La Notte Rosa: parade floats, fireworks displays, and aerial performances.
The heart of the festival is the Pink Carnival, the parade of floats and costumed groups that crosses the city: Friday, June 19, in Igea Marina, on the A. Pinzon promenade, and Saturday, June 20, along Viale A. Panzini and the C. Colombo promenade. The evenings are enlivened by the Space Invaders DJ sets with the voice of Franky Party, between Piazzale Kennedy and Piazza Alda Merini. At the stroke of midnight on Friday, June 19, fireworks simultaneously illuminate the entire Riviera, visible in Bellaria from the Piazzale della Capitaneria di Porto.
The most anticipated event is the return of the Frecce Tricolori, the National Aerobatic Team, which will fly over the sky above the canal port: Saturday, June 20, for flight rehearsals, and Sunday, June 21, for the actual show, starting in the afternoon. A free exhibition that draws thousands of spectators to the Bellaria-Igea Marina coast, with their eyes to the sky.
La Notte Rosa in Bellaria-Igea Marina dedicates ample space to children, with the Pink Week for Children: train tours and Ferris wheel rides with the mascot Lillo, guided stargazing at the canal port, workshops at the educational farm, pony rides, and magic shows on the beach. A widespread and free program that makes this town in the province of Rimini one of the most vibrant destinations for the first weekend of summer in Emilia-Romagna.
