La Milanesiana is one of Italy's most important cultural festivals: born in Milan and conceived by Elisabetta Sgarbi, it is a travelling review that intertwines literature, music, cinema, science, art, theatre, philosophy, and law. For years, the festival has also stopped in Sondrio, bringing top-level guests and content to the capital of Valtellina. The 2026 edition, the twenty-seventh, has the theme “Desire and Law”.

A double event

The Sondrio day of La Milanesiana is divided into two parts. In the afternoon, at the Museo Valtellinese di Storia e Arte (MVSA), an exhibition opening is scheduled; in the evening, at the Teatro Sociale, a theatrical performance will take place. A programme that combines visual arts and theatre, in the spirit of cross-pollination between languages that characterises the review.
