Visitors can enter the old "andet" (passageways) and cellars, rediscovering the gestures and environments of rare crafts. A market set up in the old cellars completes the tour, offering traditional specialties: fritters, biscuits, cupeta, mulled wine, and hot tea.

More than a simple representation, the Living Nativity of Faedo is a journey into the memory and identity of a small village in the province of Sondrio. The patron saint of the municipality is Saint Charles Borromeo, and it is precisely the district bearing his name that becomes, during the festive days, the heart of an event that unites faith, tradition, and community, in one of the most authentic corners of Valtellina.

The Living Nativity and Ancient Crafts returns again in 2026 to Faedo Valtellino, during the Christmas period, in the historic San Carlo district.
As per tradition, the Municipality brings to life a route that combines the representation of the Nativity with ancient mountain crafts, with costumed figures, a market set up in the old cellars, and local specialties — fritters, biscuits, cupeta, mulled wine, and hot tea. The precise date of the edition will be confirmed on the sondrioevalmalenco.it portal starting in the autumn.
