A cultural festival featuring sacred music, theatre, and tradition in the Ciociaria region
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
L'Arte a Collepardo is a cultural festival that transforms the small village of Collepardo into a widespread stage every year. Nestled in the Ernici Mountains, within the Ciociaria regionโthe historic heart of the Frosinone province in LazioโCollepardo is known as the "village of herbs and caves." Its maze of alleys, small squares, and hillside views provides a natural backdrop for concerts and performances.
The festival's common thread is the encounter between music and spirituality. Throughout its editions, the festival has featured sacred and baroque music concerts, including masterpieces such as Pergolesi's Stabat Mater and Vivaldi's Gloria, alongside performances by local choirs, bands, and wind orchestras. The musical dimension is complemented by theatre and dialect comedy, which celebrate the memory and identity of the local community.
One of the most fascinating aspects of L'Arte a Collepardo is the choice of venues, which highlight the artistic and religious heritage of the village and its surroundings:
The festival, promoted by the Municipality of Collepardo with the involvement of local associations and artistic groups, is distinguished by its grassroots spirit: all events are free to attend. It is a way to make art accessible to everyone and to enliven the cultural life of a small town in the Lazio hinterland, often far from major tourist circuits.
Experiencing L'Arte a Collepardo also means discovering an authentic corner of the Frosinone province. The famous Collepardo Caves, the evocative Pozzo d'Antullo, the trails of the Ernici Mountains, and the Certosa di Trisulti itself make this village an ideal destination for those seeking culture, nature, and tradition away from mass tourism.
At the moment, the Municipality of Collepardo has not yet released the programme or official dates for the 2026 edition of L'Arte a Collepardo. The festival, which reached its fourth edition in 2025, has so far enlivened the Ciociaria village with sacred and classical music concerts, theatrical performances, and dialect comedies, hosted between the Chiesa della Consolazione and the Certosa di Trisulti. Information will be updated as soon as the calendar is announced.
Collepardo is located in the province of Frosinone, in the Ciociaria region. By car, it can be reached via the A1 motorway (Frosinone or Anagni-Fiuggi exit), continuing towards Alatri and Vico nel Lazio. The nearest train station is Frosinone, from where you can continue by bus or car.
All festival events are traditionally free to attend, subject to availability.
We recommend combining your visit to the performances with an excursion to the Collepardo Caves, the Pozzo d'Antullo, and the Certosa di Trisulti. For updated dates and the programme, please refer to the official channels of the Municipality of Collepardo.
