Theater and Music Festival in Grumo Appula
The L'Arca di Noi è festival was born in Grumo Appula, a town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Puglia, to bring live theater and music to the heart of the community. Conceived and organized by the Tonino Miani Cultural Association in collaboration with the Santa Maria di Monteverde Parish, the festival is hosted in the "don Franco Vitucci" Arca hall, located inside the Monteverde Parish Center—a space that has become a key local theater venue over the years.
The festival's hallmark is its genre variety: each season features a diverse lineup, ranging from musicals and dramas to comedy and cabaret, as well as light music, opera, operetta, and dance. The program is designed for a broad, intergenerational audience, appealing to both prose theater enthusiasts and families looking for quality entertainment.
L'Arca di Noi è is more than just a cultural event; it has a clear charitable mission. A portion of the funds raised during the evenings is dedicated to the expansion of the Monteverde Parish Center, with the goal of providing the community—especially the youth—with new, more welcoming spaces. In this way, every performance becomes a tangible contribution to the local area.
Since its first edition, the festival has enjoyed strong public participation, with evenings attended by hundreds of spectators. The project is part of the vibrant amateur and associative theater tradition of Grumo Appula, involving Apulian companies and artists, showcasing local talent, and providing them with a stage. The patronage of the Municipality of Grumo Appula confirms the initiative's value to the entire citizenry.
For the public, L'Arca di Noi è is a staple of the local cultural season: a way to come together, support a good cause, and enjoy the magic of the stage in the heart of Puglia, evening after evening.
The second edition of the L'Arca di Noi è festival was held in Grumo Appula from April to June 2026, consisting of seven evenings in the "don Franco Vitucci" Arca hall of the Monteverde Parish Center. The program confirmed the festival's multidisciplinary approach, ranging from musicals and dramas to comedy, cabaret, light music, opera, operetta, and dance.
Among the scheduled performances: "Casa di Frontiera" (Friday, April 17), "Il grido" directed by Alfredo Vasco (Friday, April 24), "L'eredità di zio Federico" (Friday, May 15), and "Amici di Sogno" by the Gli Spread Company (Friday, June 5). In this edition as well, a portion of the proceeds was dedicated to the expansion of the Monteverde Parish Center, confirming the charitable mission of the initiative organized by the Tonino Miani Cultural Association with the Santa Maria di Monteverde Parish.
