Live concerts on the slopes of Plan de Corones, across mountain huts and sunny terraces
The Kronplatz Ski & Music Festival — Band Edition is one of the most original events in the South Tyrolean winter calendar: a music festival held entirely at altitude, across the slopes and mountain huts of the Plan de Corones (Kronplatz) ski area. This iconic peak of the Puster Valley, overlooking Brunico/Bruneck in the province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige, becomes a snowy stage for bands and street musicians who bring the mountain cabins, sunny terraces, and lift stations to life.
The formula is simple and engaging: ski and listen to music. Concerts take place throughout the day, from morning to early afternoon, at various spots across the mountain—from the Corones Hütte to the Gipfelrestaurant Cima, and from the Geiselsbergerhütte to the Niedereggerhütte, as well as the AlpiNN restaurant and the Gassl area. Spectators follow the live performances by skiing or snowboarding from one hut to the next, enjoying a festive atmosphere that blends winter sports with high-quality music.
The Band Edition features genres ranging from pop and rock to indie and folk, with groups arriving from all over Europe and beyond. Alongside international artists, the local South Tyrolean scene is well-represented, showcasing the festival's deep connection to the region. Concerts are free of charge: all you need to attend is a valid skipass for the ski area.
The festival is based in Brunico, the main hub of the Puster Valley, which is conveniently connected to the cable cars ascending to Plan de Corones from several sides (Riscone, Valdaora, San Vigilio di Marebbe). The event is part of the Skirama Kronplatz calendar and offers a unique way to experience the South Tyrolean mountains, combining skiing in one of the most famous areas of the Dolomites with a widespread musical festival.
From March 5th to 8th, 2026, Plan de Corones hosted the Band Edition of the Kronplatz Ski & Music Festival, with ten international bands and artists performing in rotation at various spots on the mountain. The lineup spanned from pop to rock, indie, and folk.
Among the headliners: Neon Dreams (Canada), The Franklin Electric (Canada), Borja Catanesi (Spain), SaxbyTwins (South Africa), Luke Noa (Germany), Tom River (Australia), City Lights Calling (Austria), Riders Connection (Germany), Timbreroots (South Tyrol), and Mixed Up Everything (Australia).
Concerts took place between late morning and early afternoon in high-altitude huts and restaurants such as Corones Hütte, Geiselsbergerhütte, Gipfelrestaurant Cima, Niedereggerhütte, AlpiNN, and the Gassl area.
