Knödelfest — Dumpling Festival

The 19th edition of the Knödelfest was held in Imèr, in the Primiero Valley (Trentino), on September 6-7, 2025. As per tradition, the main street was closed to traffic and set up with over 800 tables and benches and 15 food stalls, where more than twenty varieties of dumplings were offered: from the classics with speck and melted butter to creations with pumpkin, mushrooms, nettle, ginger, turmeric, and Lamon IGP beans, with certified gluten-free options.

The two days were animated by live music with Tyrolean bands such as SalzburgSound, die Jungen Pseirer, Sabrina Salvestrin, and Siver Music, with the Austrian boy band Die Thierseer as a special guest on Saturday evening. There were also cooking shows, workshops and games for children, local craft markets, guided hikes to the suspension bridge over the Rio San Pietro and the Church of San Silvestro, an evening lantern walk, and the unmissable election of Miss and Mister Canederlo.
