The parade floats and masked parties of the Venetian coast
When Carnival arrives, Jesolo doesn't hold back: the Jesolo Carnival transforms the beach and hamlets of the seaside resort in the province of Venice into a succession of masked parties, inflatables, carousels, and confetti. The event is part of the broader Metropolitan Carnival of Venice, the network that brings together the carnivals of the territory around the historic and very famous one of the Serenissima.
The program unfolds over several days. It starts with masked parties for children in the squares and hamlets — from Cortellazzo to Piazza I Maggio, up to Piazza Milano — with free inflatables and carousels, balloons, entertainment, and live music. The highlight is the parade of floats along Via Bafile, the long pedestrian street that crosses the beach: dozens of participants, majorettes, and walking groups accompany the floats from Piazza Aurora to Piazza Marconi, where the awards ceremony takes place.
Designed primarily for children, the Jesolo Carnival is a free event for all ages, bringing color and joy to the Venetian coast in the heart of winter. An opportunity to experience Jesolo in a different guise than in summer, discovering its community dimension.
The 2026 edition of the Jesolo Carnival takes place between February 16 and March 8. It opens on Monday, February 16 in Cortellazzo with "Il Borgo in maschera" (The Village in Masquerade), continues with children's parties in Piazza I Maggio (February 17) and Piazza Milano (March 1), and culminates on Sunday, March 8 with the grand parade of floats: 16 floats and 2 walking groups, including majorette formations, will parade along Via Bafile from Piazza Aurora to Piazza Marconi. In case of bad weather, the event will be postponed to Sunday, March 22. Free admission.
