Kites and colorful sails on Jesolo beach
The Jesolo Beach & Kite Festival is the largest kite exhibition in Italy. Every spring, the beach of Jesolo, in the Province of Venice, transforms into an immense open-air theater where the wind is the star: acrobatic kites, colorful sails, and giant inflatable figures reaching tens of meters in height fill the sky above the coastline.
The event spans about two kilometers of sand, between Piazza Marconi and Piazza Brescia, and brings together over 200 international pilots. The performances alternate between team acrobatic flights, individual champion demonstrations, and spectacular aerial installations, in a succession of colors and shapes that enchant both adults and children.
Among the most evocative moments are the illuminated night flights and the evening wind gardens. For families, there are free workshops on kite building and piloting, while the giant inflatable figures remain the iconic image of the event.
With free admission, the festival is one of the first major spring events on the Veneto coast and symbolically marks the beginning of Jesolo's tourist season, combining sport, entertainment, and fun for the whole family.
The 2026 edition of the Jesolo Beach & Kite Festival will bring life to Jesolo beach from April 10 to 12, with over 200 international pilots on approximately two kilometers of sand between Piazza Marconi and Piazza Brescia.
Highlights include team acrobatic performances, the illuminated night flight on Saturday evening with wind gardens, giant inflatable figures tens of meters high, and free workshops for children throughout the event.
Free workshops for children all three days. Free shuttle service (Jtaca Gondolino) in limited traffic zones.
