About IWSC Conegliano Valdobbiadene

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), one of the world's most prestigious wine competitions, returns annually to Conegliano for its Judging dedicated to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area. A jury of international experts evaluates the labels from the DOCG territory behind closed doors, in partnership with the Protection Consortium. This recognition projects the wines from the UNESCO hills onto the international stage and certifies their quality to global markets.

The prestige of IWSC in Conegliano

The International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), founded in London in 1969, is one of the most authoritative international wine competitions. For several editions, the IWSC has dedicated its own Judging to the Conegliano Valdobbiadene area, in the province of Treviso, in partnership with the DOCG Wine Protection Consortium.

An international jury

The judging session takes place behind closed doors: a panel of industry experts — wine directors, heads of wine, and internationally renowned critics — evaluates the territory's labels, under the supervision of the IWSC Judging Committee. The results, announced in the following weeks, award medals and trophies, including the prestigious Conegliano Valdobbiadene Producer Trophy.

The Prosecco hills take centre stage

The Judging enhances the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG, produced on the UNESCO World Heritage hills, projecting it onto global markets. More than an event open to the public, it is a strategic appointment for the international promotion of an excellent wine-growing territory.
