Contemporary circus between Valle Sabbia and Lake Garda
Itinerari di Meraviglia — Circo tra Valle e Lago is the new project that, from June 20 to August 29, 2026, enlivens the territory between Lake Garda and Valle Sabbia, in the province of Brescia. For an entire summer, squares, parks, lakefronts, and villages become a widespread open-air stage dedicated to contemporary circus and the arts of wonder.
The project, coordinated by the Lombardy Region, involves eight municipalities in the area, including Pertica Alta, whose capital village is Livemmo. Collaboration with the Strabilio festival, an organization that has been uniting many of the involved municipalities through the language of contemporary circus for years, is fundamental. Scheduled are twenty free shows and seven workshops, designed to engage a very diverse audience, with particular attention to families.
The review brings international companies and artists to the area — some in Italy for the first time — from China, Finland, Belgium, France, Argentina, South Africa, and Italy. A proposal that combines spectacle, artistic quality, and accessibility. The opening show on June 20, in Piazza Roma in Villanuova sul Clisi, is "Super Acrobatas" by the Chinese company Cho Kairin, featuring acrobatics and balancing inspired by the tradition of Chinese circus.
Among the stops on the circuit, the village of Livemmo, the seat of the municipality of Pertica Alta, hosts one of the shows of the review during the summer. Included in the Borgo Cre_Attivo path linked to PNRR projects, Livemmo confirms its cultural vocation, bringing circus arts to the homes of a small mountain village in Brescia.
