A Bicentennial Tradition

The Inzago Festival, in the Municipality of Inzago in the province of Milan, has its roots in the devotion to the Madonna del Rosario and in a fair tradition dating back before 1803. With over two hundred editions to its name, it is one of the oldest and most deeply rooted patronal feasts in the Milan metropolitan area: a heritage that the town proudly preserves and renews each year.

The Second Sunday of October

The festival traditionally takes place on the second Sunday of October, as part of a broader program spread over several days. The most solemn moment is the procession with the statue of the Madonna del Rosario and Child, which winds through the streets of the historic center accompanied by the community: it is the religious and identity core of the entire event.

Music, Shows, and Culture

Alongside the devotional dimension, the Inzago Festival offers a rich calendar of initiatives: live music, shows, exhibitions, cultural events, and moments of popular tradition. Among the most beloved curiosities is the famous "ox weighing" game, which recalls the ancient fair and peasant soul of the feast. The event involves the entire town, from associations to schools, animating squares and streets with stands and activities for all ages.

The Role of the Pro Loco

The event is organized by the Pro Loco of Inzago, part of the UNPLI Lombardia network, which curates the program and coordinates the numerous activities each year. For Inzago, the festival is much more than a celebration: it is the moment when the community comes together around its roots, amidst faith, tradition, and social interaction, in one of the most cherished events on the Lombard calendar.
