Young dancers compete at the Ariston Theatre, in front of an international jury
The International Young Dance Award City of Sanremo is the competition that brings emerging young dancers to the prestigious stage of the Ariston Theatre in Sanremo (province of Imperia). Organized by Ariston Pro Ballet, it features students and young professionals competing before an international jury.
The competition awards scholarships, special mentions, and prizes that open doors to schools and academies in Italy and the United States. More than just a competition, the award represents a training springboard for young people dreaming of a career in dance.
The event combines the competitive aspect with performance, offering the audience an evening of high-quality choreography in the setting of the Ariston. The event confirms Sanremo's role as a hub for youth dance, alongside the more well-known Sanremo Dance Festival.
The 2026 edition, the 22nd, is scheduled for May 16 at the Ariston Theatre. Young dancers perform before an international jury, which awards scholarships, special mentions, and prizes valid for training paths in Italy and the United States.
The event is organized by Ariston Pro Ballet.
The Ariston Theatre is in the center of Sanremo, reachable on foot from the train station. By car, take the Sanremo exit on the A10 motorway.
Competition reserved for registered participants; gala evening open to the public with a ticket.
