About University Aperitifs

The International University Aperitifs are the grand end-of-academic-year party at the Unicam Campus in Camerino, in the province of Macerata. For one evening, the university transforms into a crossroads of cultures: international students cook typical dishes from their countries, while live bands and DJ sets perform on stage until late at night. Free entry, street food, drinks, and a free shuttle: a free event open to the entire city that unites the university community and the citizens of the Marche region.

A Celebration that Tells the World in Camerino

The International University Aperitifs are one of the most anticipated events of spring in Camerino, a university town in the heart of the province of Macerata, in the Marche region. Every year, as the academic year draws to a close, the Unicam Campus on Via Andrea D'Accorso opens its doors to the city for a grand evening celebrating the meeting of peoples and cultures. It's not just a simple aperitif, but a true festival that transforms the vibrant heart of Camerino's academic life into a stage of flavors, music, and social interaction.

The Flavors of the Students' Nations

The common thread of the event is international gastronomy: the protagonists are the typical dishes from the various nations represented by the students of the University of Camerino. It is precisely the international students who cook and offer specialties from their home countries, creating a journey through authentic flavors and culinary traditions from around the world, accompanied by street food and drinks. It's the most genuine way for Unicam's large international community to introduce itself to the city.

Live Music Until Late at Night

Music is the universal language of the evening. Live bands and DJ sets take turns on the Campus stage, animating the party from late afternoon until the early hours of the morning. Over the years, bands from the Marche region and guest groups have performed, with genres ranging from funk to soul, from blues to groove, culminating in a grand finale with a DJ set.

A Community Event

The University Aperitifs are organized by the association Musicamdo Jazz with the contribution of the University of Camerino (Unicam), the Municipality of Camerino, and numerous local partners, including CUS Camerino, Erdis, and the European project KreativEu. Entry is completely free, and the event is designed to bring together students, faculty, and citizens in one big popular celebration, symbolizing the deep bond between the university and its city. To facilitate participation, a free shuttle service is available, connecting the historic center and the main neighborhoods to the Campus throughout the evening.
