International street food arrives in Martinsicuro

International Street Food is the most important traveling street food event in Italy. As part of its extensive caravan of stops across the peninsula, it visits Martinsicuro, located on the northern coast of Abruzzo in the province of Teramo. The stage is the Lungomare Europa, overlooking the Adriatic: an ideal setting for a gastronomic stroll in the open air, amidst the scent of grills and the sea breeze.

A national tour by A.I.R.S.

The event is organized by A.I.R.S. - Associazione Italiana Ristoratori di Strada, led by president Alfredo Orofino, a national benchmark in the sector. Every year, the tour visits over two hundred locations throughout Italy, bringing the same formula everywhere: dozens of selected food trucks and stands offering specialties from five continents, always with free admission. The Martinsicuro stop is part of this circuit and represents one of the events that open the town's summer season.

Flavors from around the world

The true star is the food. Along the Lungomare Europa, you can taste specialties that tell the story of distant cuisines and Italian regional traditions:

• the essential Abruzzese arrosticini, the pride of the region;
• Spanish paella and Hungarian kurtos;
• Argentine and Mexican cuisine;
• Neapolitan fried pizza, fried fish, and pulled pork;
• olive ascolane, Apulian bombette, and gourmet octopus sandwiches.

To complete the experience, a selection of Italian, European, and international craft breweries is available to pair every dish with the perfect drink.

An event for the whole family

With its open-air format, free admission, and evening hours, International Street Food in Martinsicuro is designed to be enjoyed in good company: families, groups of friends, and tourists vacationing on the Teramo coast find an informal and convivial way to discover the taste of street food here. The event helps enliven the promenade and promotes Martinsicuro as a destination for the Abruzzo summer.

The dates for the 2026 edition in Martinsicuro have not yet been announced: the national International Street Food tour continues in 2026 with its tenth edition, but confirmation of the new Martinsicuro stop is expected during the season.
