International Sport Film Festival

A festival where cinema meets sport

The International Sport Film Festival (ISFF) is an international showcase dedicated to film, television, and web productions that explore sport in all its forms. Established in 2022, the festival has become one of the most original cultural events in Campania, bringing documentaries, short films, and feature films from all over the world to Castellammare di Stabia, in the province of Naples. The heart of the event is the Teatro Supercinema, which for several days transforms into a home for sports cinema, open to spectators, enthusiasts, students, and industry professionals.

Sport as a narrative and a value

The festival's philosophy is clear: sport is not just competition, but also friendship, loyalty, healthy rivalry, fair play, and socio-cultural redemption. The works in competition range from professional to amateur sports, giving space to stories of famous champions and unknown athletes, legendary feats, and small, everyday victories. Each edition also addresses a specific social theme: in 2025, the festival dedicated its program to gender equality and the role of women in sport.

More than just screenings

The ISFF goes beyond simply watching films. The program includes meetings and debates with the creators of the works, opportunities for discussion with athletes and sports executives, conferences, acting workshops, and sessions dedicated to schools. Over the years, the festival has hosted champions and figures from Italian sport such as Giuseppe Abbagnale, alongside directors, journalists, and actors, making the festival a true space for dialogue between cinema, society, and the world of sport.

An event open to the city and the region

Organized by the Associazione Pragma, the International Sport Film Festival involves various locations throughout the city and also offers screenings and side events in other parts of Campania and neighboring regions. Collaboration with institutions, schools, and local entities makes the ISFF an event deeply rooted in the Stabiese community, while simultaneously looking toward the international scene thanks to the numerous works submitted by authors from every corner of the globe.
