Legnago: Capital of Circus of Art

The International Salieri Circus Award is an international festival and competition for circus of art held in Legnago, in the province of Verona, the birthplace of composer Antonio Salieri. The event takes place at the prestigious Salieri Theatre and features a competition among the best circus talents from around the world, selected from hundreds of international applications.

A Competition Between Circus and Symphonic Music

The festival's distinctive feature is the union of circus arts and live symphonic music, a structural link to the stage that echoes Salieri's legacy. Artists perform in selection shows, each completely different from the others, which in recent editions have been named after famous works by the composer, such as "Axur" and "Falstaff".

Awards and Recognitions

The competition awards numerous prizes, from the Golden Salieri, the festival's highest award, to the Bronze Salieri, as well as the Audience Award, the ANSAC Award, and the City of Legnago Award. Over the years, the festival has honored artists from a wide variety of disciplines, from pole art to juggling, from trapeze to illusionism, confirming its international vocation.

Organized by Proeventi in collaboration with ANSAC (National Association for the Development of Circus Arts) and the Salieri Foundation, the festival has become a benchmark for the promotion of contemporary circus of art, attracting artists, industry professionals, and an enthusiastic audience to Legnago.
