About Filarmonico Season

While the Arena rests, it is the Teatro Filarmonico that houses great music in Verona. The 2026 season of the Fondazione Arena di Verona brings a program spanning the entire year to the stage of the 18th-century theatre: operas by Mozart, Verdi, and Puccini, the ballet Swan Lake, symphony concerts, and chamber music. A refined program, in one of Italy's most elegant historic halls.

The winter musical heart of Verona

The Teatro Filarmonico is the winter home of the Fondazione Arena di Verona: when the Roman amphitheater of the Arena closes its summer opera season, it is here, in the 18th-century hall designed by Francesco Galli Bibiena, that great music continues in the Scaliger city.

The 2026 Season

The 2026 program runs from January to December with a total of 42 evenings. The opera season offers repertoire titles and rarities: Mozart's Don Giovanni, Vivaldi's L'Olimpiade (at the Teatro Ristori), Verdi's Falstaff, Menotti's Amelia al ballo paired with Stravinsky's Jeu de cartes, and Puccini's La Bohème. The ballet closes the year with Swan Lake. The calendar is completed by the symphony season, with eight subscription concerts, and chamber music events.

A great Veronese institution

The Orchestra and Choir of the Fondazione Arena - among the most prestigious ensembles in Italy - are the protagonists of all productions. The Filarmonico season is a regular event for opera and classical music enthusiasts and an opportunity to discover a cultural Verona that lives well beyond the famous Arena festival of the summer.
