International Music Weeks - Trio Bedřich Concert

A chamber concert in the heart of the Oltregiogo

The International Music Weeks are a traveling festival of classical and contemporary music that traverses the villages, theaters, and historic sites of the Alto Monferrato and Oltregiogo regions every year, in the province of Alessandria, in the heart of Piedmont. Organized by the Musica & Cultura Pentagramma Association, the festival brings great chamber music to evocative spaces often overlooked by major concert circuits.

Among the highlights of the 2026 calendar is the event in Gavi, in the Municipality of Gavi (province of Alessandria), where the Cloister of the Convento dei Frati di Valle will host the Trio Bedřich concert. The intimate atmosphere of the cloister, with its natural acoustics and architectural beauty, provides the ideal setting for a chamber music program.

The Trio Bedřich

The Trio Bedřich is a young ensemble composed of Margherita Ceruti on violin, Michele Mazzola on cello, and Filippo Piredda on piano. The trio formed in the chamber music class at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan and represents one of the emerging forces on the Italian chamber music scene, in line with the festival's mission to pair established performers with new talent.

The theme: "Rediscovery"

The 2026 edition of the International Music Weeks is dedicated to the theme of "Rediscovery": a common thread that invites audiences to listen with fresh ears to both the great repertoire and contemporary creativity. The Trio Bedřich's program embodies this spirit, pairing a romantic masterpiece, a world premiere, and the work of a contemporary composer.

A charitable festival

The International Music Weeks take place every year with a wide network of events distributed between spring and the end of the year in the municipalities of the Oltregiogo. The festival also has a charitable dimension: on many evenings, donations are collected for the LILT (Italian League for the Fight against Cancer), Novi Ligure delegation.
