The International Motorcycle Rally of the Lakes of Garfagnana is one of the most anticipated motorcycling events of the Tuscan summer. Now in its twentieth edition in 2026, the event confirms a proven formula that blends a passion for two wheels, exploration of the territory, and Garfagnana hospitality.

A story born from a bet

The event is organized by the Motoclub The Lake's Bikers, an amateur sports association founded in 2006 "almost as a bet" among a group of friends passionate about motorcycles. Over the years, the club has become one of the largest and most active in the province of Lucca, a true family that every summer opens the doors of the Garfagnana to motorcyclists from all over Italy and abroad, giving the event a truly international dimension.

Motorcycle rides between the Apuan Alps and the Apennines

The heart of the rally lies in the scenic motorcycle rides that traverse the villages and mountain passes of the Garfagnana and the Media Valle del Serchio. In previous editions, the routes have touched towns such as Piazza al Serchio, Camporgiano, Poggio, and Careggine, with picturesque stops like the "Giant Bench" at Lake Vagli, and escorted itineraries winding through Siliano, Dalli, Magliano, and San Michele. Hairpin turns, views of the lakes, and the Apuan peaks make this tour an ideal experience for those who love riding immersed in nature.

Flavors and conviviality of the Garfagnana

Beyond the motorcycles, the rally is a feast of taste and social life. The evenings and lunches feature local products of the Garfagnana, including traditional Lucchese peasant dishes, accompanied by live music and DJ sets that animate the lake area until late. A campsite equipped with toilets and showers is also available, opening on Friday afternoon, allowing participants to fully enjoy the weekend on the shores of the basin.
