National art, music, and film fair in the village of San Sebastiano Curone
INNOVART is a national art, music, and film fair that enlivens San Sebastiano Curone, a charming village in the Province of Alessandria, southeast Piedmont, every summer. Nestled along the ancient Salt Road in Val Curone, the town turns into a true open-air museum for a July weekend, where the streets and squares of the historic center host widespread creativity, master craftsmanship, live music, and independent cinema.
The heart of the event lies in its widespread cultural festival concept: rather than a single stage, the entire village is transformed into an exhibition space. Over forty artisans selected from across Italy line the streets, showcasing techniques ranging from ceramics and weaving to woodwork, metalwork, and glass. Alongside the exhibitors, contemporary art installations engage with the village's architecture, creating a journey that highlights both young talents and master craftsmen.
INNOVART is not just to be watched, but to be experienced: throughout the weekend, there are creative workshops for adults and children, covering everything from ceramics and crochet to textile art therapy and children's labs. Evenings are dedicated to free live music in the square, featuring emerging bands and projects, followed by after-parties focused on the electronic scene. Sunday is dedicated to cinema, with a selection of independent short films and meet-the-director sessions.
Attending INNOVART is also an opportunity to discover one of the most evocative villages in the Piedmontese Apennines, known for its porticoes, stone houses, and truffle tradition. The event, with free admission, is designed for families, art lovers, and curious visitors looking for an immersive cultural experience in the heart of Piedmont.
The third edition of INNOVART is scheduled in San Sebastiano Curone (Alessandria) from Friday, July 24 to Sunday, July 26, 2026. The edition is confirmed: the Fondazione CR Tortona has allocated a grant to Innovevent for the organization of the INNOVART 2026 National Fair, the third edition of the widespread cultural festival.
For 2026, the village will once again become an open-air museum featuring artisans from all over Italy, contemporary art installations, creative workshops, free live concerts, and an independent short film festival.
The detailed program for the third edition, including artists, schedules, and locations, will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event. Following the established structure of past editions, the event spans three days with:
