The grand Christmas village in the Tuscia region, open from September to January on the Via Cassia
Il Regno di Babbo Natale is situated along the Via Cassia (km 62.200) in the municipality of Vetralla, in the province of Viterbo. Established in 2012 as a small Christmas decoration shop by the family of Giorgio Onorato Aquilani, it has grown season after season into a true Christmas theme park spanning over 8,000 square meters, now managed by RBN Srl. Located in the Tuscia area, halfway between Sutri and Viterbo and about 45 minutes from Rome, it has become one of the most renowned Christmas attractions in Lazio and Central Italy.
The classic route, which offers free admission, guides visitors through immersive settings populated by the Kingdom's original characters:
Alongside the free route, the Kingdom offers the Midnight Spell (Incantesimo di Mezzanotte), an immersive and interactive paid experience that winds through over 11 additional themed rooms and culminates in a meeting with Santa Claus, including a printed photo, a digital file, and priority access.
The commercial heart of the Kingdom is an immense store featuring ornaments and decorations from all over Europe: trees, lights, nativity scenes, LEMAX miniature villages, and the collectible Elfidea decorations. The settings change weekly, ensuring every visit is unique.
The Kingdom opens in September and remains open until Epiphany, seven days a week, from 9:30 AM to 7:30 PM. On weekends, the program is enriched with shows, parades, and entertainment featuring the Kingdom's characters, while the Victorian Village extends its evening hours with the Street Food Magic Festival, offering sweets, candies, and local cuisine. Everything is indoors, making it a pleasant visit in any weather.
A visit to the Kingdom is also a great opportunity to discover the surrounding area: the historic center of Vetralla, the village of Sutri with its Etruscan-Roman amphitheater, and Viterbo with its medieval San Pellegrino district and thermal baths. Reopened every year in September, Il Regno di Babbo Natale has become a tradition for families in Lazio and visitors from all over Italy; the next season is scheduled to open in September 2026.
From September 19, 2025, to January 11, 2026, Il Regno di Babbo Natale in Vetralla welcomed visitors for nearly four consecutive months, with daily opening hours. The edition confirmed the formula that made the Via Cassia park famous: free admission to the classic route, settings that change weekly, and a program of entertainment featuring the Kingdom's original characters.
Among the season's highlights were the immersive Midnight Spell experience with over 11 themed rooms and a final meeting with Santa Claus, the 160-sqm ice skating rink, the Victorian Village rides, and the Street Food Magic Festival on weekends, with evening openings until 9:30 PM. Until October 17, 2025, children's attractions were free with a purchase in the store.
