The classic car and motorcycle gathering on the Bisceglie waterfront
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the heart of the Barletta-Andria-Trani province in Puglia, the coastal town of Bisceglie hosts one of the most anticipated events for vintage motoring enthusiasts in Southern Italy: the "Il Dolmen - Historic Bisceglie" rally. Named after the famous prehistoric dolmens that dot the Bisceglie countryside—symbols of the area's ancient roots—the event celebrates a different kind of heritage: the classic vehicles that shaped the history of motoring.
The event takes place along the picturesque waterfront in the tourist port area, where dozens of historic cars and motorcycles are displayed against the backdrop of the Adriatic Sea. From 1920s torpedoes and 1950s sedans to British roadsters and German sports coupes, these vehicles are showcased for the delight of curious onlookers, families, and collectors. This rally is far more than a static exhibition; it is a moment of connection for crews arriving from Lazio, Campania, Basilicata, Molise, and various parts of Puglia, cementing its status as a key fixture in the Southern Italian rally calendar.
Beyond the vehicles, the day features tastings of local delicacies provided by regional bakeries, wineries, and producers, as well as book presentations on the history of the club and motoring, and institutional greetings. The recent slogan, "The passion that unites," perfectly captures the spirit of an event that turns collecting into an opportunity for social connection and city promotion.
The event is promoted by the Bisceglie Historic Car and Motorcycle Club, with the patronage of the Municipality of Bisceglie and the collaboration of Confcommercio Bisceglie, the Pro Loco Unpli Bisceglie, and other local associations and businesses. This collective effort has allowed the event to surpass twenty editions, becoming a cherished early-autumn tradition.
The Bisceglie Historic Car and Motorcycle Club has not yet announced the official date for the 2026 edition of the "Il Dolmen - Historic Bisceglie" rally. Based on previous years, the event is expected to take place on a Sunday in September along the waterfront in the tourist port area.
The established structure of the day includes morning crew accreditation, the exhibition of historic cars and motorcycles along the promenade, local food tastings, and institutional moments. The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event.
The rally takes place on the Bisceglie waterfront, in the tourist port area (Barletta-Andria-Trani province, Puglia). Access to the exhibition area along the promenade is free for the public.
Bisceglie is served by the Adriatic railway line (Bari-Foggia), located just a few minutes' walk from the town center and the waterfront. By car, it can be reached via the SS16 Adriatic highway; the A14 motorway has exits in nearby Molfetta and Trani.
The event is traditionally held on a Sunday in September. To confirm the date and program for the current edition, we recommend following the official channels of the Bisceglie Historic Car and Motorcycle Club and the local Pro Loco.
