The beach tennis world championship
The IFBT Beach Tennis World Championship is the amateur beach tennis world championship that takes place on the beach of Sottomarina, the seaside resort of Chioggia in the province of Venice. Organized by ASD JPoint with the patronage of the Municipality of Chioggia, it brings a major international sporting event to the Veneto coast.
Athletes from all over the world
The event brings together over 400 athletes from more than 20 nations, who compete on 28 courts set up between the Astoria Center, Bagni Clodia and Area 61 of Bagni Serenella. The matches are broadcast live worldwide on the official IFBT platforms.
An event for all ages
The world championship is designed as an inclusive competition, open to all ages and all levels: from youth categories (Under 14 and Under 16) to Under 30s, up to Over 30s, 40s, and 50s, with Open divisions divided into Intermediate, Advanced, and Pro. There is also a national team tournament. Between sport, beach, and international atmosphere, the IFBT World Championship represents an important opportunity for tourism promotion for Chioggia and the Veneto coast.

Sottomarina can be reached by car via the SS309 Romea. The courts are set up at the Astoria Center and at the bathing establishments along the coast (Bagni Clodia, Area 61 Bagni Serenella).
