Theatre along the Adda river, between villas, parks and villages
I Luoghi dell'Adda is the travelling theatre review conceived and curated by Teatro Invito, which every summer brings performances along the course of the Adda river, crossing dozens of municipalities in the provinces of Lecco, Bergamo and Milan. A widespread and original format, which uses the river landscape and its places โ historic villas, parks, villages, churches โ as a natural stage for theatre.
Among the stops of the review is Verderio, a municipality in the province of Lecco, where performances are staged in the evocative setting of Villa Gallavresi. Here, theatre meets history and the environment, offering the public evenings that combine narration, collective memory and reflection, in one of the most fascinating contexts of the Larian territory.
Now over twenty years old, I Luoghi dell'Adda is one of the longest-running and most established theatre reviews in eastern Lombardy. All performances are free admission, with booking recommended: an invitation to rediscover the territory and the river through the language of theatre.
The theatre review along the Adda river returns in 2026 with its 21st edition, from May 30 to July 5. Among the scheduled performances, the Verderio stop brings "Notti Magiche" by Teatro degli Acerbi to Villa Gallavresi, written and directed by Patrizia Camatel and performed by Massimo Barbero and Tommaso Massimo Rotella.
"Notti Magiche" โ Teatro degli Acerbi. The performance evokes the collective atmosphere of the 1990 Football World Cup through the memories of two friends passionate about football and "epic" sports, intertwining sport, memory, and a sense of belonging. Text and direction by Patrizia Camatel; starring Massimo Barbero and Tommaso Massimo Rotella.
The review continues with other performances in the municipalities along the Adda between the provinces of Lecco, Bergamo and Milan.
Between the end of May and the beginning of July.
