The Oratory Summer in Carvico

The Serate Extra in Oratorio are the evening animation program that, every summer, accompanies the CRE season at the Oratorio Don Bosco in Carvico, in the Province of Bergamo. For about three weeks, from the second half of June to the beginning of July, the oratory courtyard comes alive every evening with tournaments, games, music, and convivial moments open to the entire community.

A Calendar for All Ages

The common thread of the event is the desire to be together. The evenings alternate between sports tournaments (table tennis, foosball, challenges between CRE classes), themed nights like disco with karaoke or "dress to impress" evenings, musical moments with concerts by local bands and the kids, up to exhibitions of baskin, the inclusive sport that allows everyone to play basketball together.

Communal Dinners

The gastronomic heart of the festival are the dinners at the oratory, spread over several evenings, with inflatables and games for the little ones in the park. Alongside the fun, there's also a commitment to solidarity, with initiatives like the dinner for Peru and the run against hunger, which give the festival a meaning that goes beyond simple entertainment.

The Spirit of Carvico

In Carvico, as in many villages in the Bergamo area, the oratory has always been the main summer meeting point. The 'Serate Extra' are not a spectacular event designed for tourism, but an authentic village festival, made up of volunteers, animators, and families who liven up the courtyard until the evening. It's the perfect opportunity to breathe in the genuine atmosphere of Lombard community life, far from the more crowded destinations.
