About Beolco Fest

Between June and July, the small hamlet of Beolco in Olgiate Molgora, in the province of Lecco, transforms into an open-air stage with Beolco Fest, a free-entry summer theatre festival. Four evenings of shows, recitals, and workshops liven up this green corner of the Lecco Brianza, with the San Giuseppe oratory church serving as shelter in case of rain. An intimate and curated event, made of words, music, and encounters with the public under the stars.

Theatre in the hamlet

Beolco Fest is the summer theatre festival that enlivens the hamlet of Beolco in Olgiate Molgora, in the province of Lecco. A free-entry event that brings performances outdoors to a small village in the Lecco Brianza, in a secluded and familiar atmosphere, far from large stages but rich in quality and care.

Four evenings of words and music

The programme offers four events ranging from comedy theatre to poetic-musical recitals, to contemporary theatre performances. Alongside the shows, there are workshops and guided tours, such as the one to the hamlet's church, which enrich the experience. In case of bad weather, events move to the shelter of the San Giuseppe oratory theatre.

A community festival

The public is invited to experience the festival informally: you can bring your own chair, and before the shows, a refreshment point with beer and sandwiches is available. Capacity is limited and entry is by reservation. Supported by foundations and local organisations, Beolco Fest is an example of how even a small hamlet in Brianza can become a place of culture and meeting during the summer.
