The punk rock evening on the hills of Montegridolfo, with music, piadina, and beer
Hillside Fest is one of those events that showcase the other side of the Riviera: not the crowded beach, but the hinterland, the hills, and the small villages of the Province of Rimini. It takes place in San Pietro di Montegridolfo, a hamlet of the Municipality of Montegridolfo, in the southernmost part of Emilia-Romagna, a few kilometers from the border with the Marche region. The heart of the event is Peter Park, the green space of the hamlet, which for one evening transforms into a small open-air festival dedicated to punk rock and live music.
The soul of Hillside Fest is that of a village festival, but with a decidedly alternative spirit. Hardcore, punk, and rock'n'roll bands take turns on stage, while Romagna piadina and cold beer circulate among the audience: a mix of good music and conviviality that has won over a niche of enthusiasts far beyond the municipal borders over the years. Admission is free, a choice that makes the event accessible to everyone and reaffirms its self-managed and popular nature.
The event is curated by the Pro Loco of Montegridolfo, the association that animates the cultural and social life of the village. It is precisely this connection with the community that gives Hillside Fest its character: an event built from the ground up, yet capable of bringing names from the Italian and international punk scene to the hills of Valconca, alternating local proposals with well-known groups.
Attending Hillside Fest is also an opportunity to discover Montegridolfo, one of the best-preserved medieval villages in Romagna, with its castle, walls, and stone historic center. After the concert, it's worth stopping to explore the village and taste the local cuisine, including piadina, Sangiovese wine, and products from the Rimini hinterland. A different and genuine way to experience the Romagna summer, away from the crowds of the coast.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Peter Park in San Pietro di Montegridolfo hosts the new edition of Hillside Fest, a free admission punk rock evening organized by the Pro Loco. The major draw of the lineup is the return to Italian stages of Your Demise, an English hardcore band from St Albans that reunited in 2024 to celebrate their twentieth anniversary, announced here as headliners. Alongside them will play Moravagine, a group formed in the Padua region in 1995 and considered a pillar of Italian punk rock alongside bands like Punkreas and Derozer, who are embarking on a reunion summer tour.
The formula remains the authentic one of previous editions: live music, Romagna piadina, and cold beer in the hills of Valconca. The full program, including set times and any opening acts, will be announced by the Pro Loco and official social media channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
