A nerd festival in the neo-Gothic village of Grazzano Visconti

There is a place in Emilia-Romagna where comics and fantasy find the perfect setting: the village of Grazzano Visconti, a hamlet of the municipality of Vigolzone, in the Province of Piacenza. Its neo-Gothic architecture, crenellated towers, cobbled alleys, and shaded squares create a fairy-tale ambiance that every late August comes alive with superheroes, wizards, knights, and fantastic creatures. This is where Eroi a Grazzano & Grazzano Viscomics takes place, the festival that merges two complementary souls into one grand event dedicated to pop culture.

Two events in one

The event stems from the meeting of two realities. Eroi a Grazzano, curated by Ora Pro Comics, is the comic heart of the event: a true comic fair with famous authors, emerging artists, independent publishers, and a large area for self-produced works where comic artists and illustrators present their creations. Grazzano Viscomics, organized by the Pro Loco together with Maurizio Gabbiadini, is instead the cosplay and fantasy soul: gatherings and costume contests, a market for gadgets and crafts, themed photo sets, role-playing and card games, and a community of enthusiasts who animate the entire historic center.

Piazza Cortevecchia, the heart of the event

The focal point of the event is Piazza Cortevecchia, where the cosplay contests and the most spectacular moments take place, but the entire historic center of Grazzano Visconti participates in the event, transforming every corner of the village into a perfect backdrop for photos and encounters. Admission is completely free, and the event proceeds even in case of bad weather.

A late summer event in Valnure

Grazzano Visconti is about half an hour from Piacenza and is one of the most evocative destinations in Valnure. The festival attracts thousands of visitors each year, confirming itself as one of the most beloved nerd and fantasy events in Emilia-Romagna, capable of combining the passion for comics and cosplay with the beauty of a unique village.
