About Hermans Festival

The Hermans Festival brings international organ excellence to Collescipoli, an ancient village in the southern area of Terni. The heart of the event is the extraordinary historic organ built by Luca Neri in 1647, one of the jewels of Umbria's organ heritage, housed in the Collegiata di San Nicolò. Organized by the Hermans Academy, the festival offers organ concerts and early music with performers from all over Europe, in a dialogue between local heritage and great musical tradition.

The historic organ at the center

The Hermans Festival is a series dedicated to organ music and early music that takes place in Collescipoli, an ancient hilltop village in the southern area of Terni. The festival revolves around the extraordinary historic organ built by Luca Neri in 1647, considered one of the jewels of Umbria's organ heritage, housed in the Collegiata di San Nicolò.

A cultural stronghold for the territory

Promoted by the Hermans Academy, the festival is much more than a series of concerts: it is a true cultural stronghold that enhances the village of Collescipoli and its artistic treasures. The instrument that Mozart called the 'king of instruments' thus becomes the protagonist of a journey made up of concerts, vespers, and guided tours, capable of introducing a wide audience to the beauty of organ music.

Performers from all over Europe

Each edition attracts internationally renowned organists from various European countries, who explore a repertoire dedicated to sacred and early music composed for the organ. The festival is supported by the Fondazione Carit, the Fondazione Brunello e Federica Cucinelli, the Umbria Region, and the Municipality of Terni, confirming the value of this event for all of southern Umbria.
