The end-of-harvest festival in ancient Laus
The Harvest Thanksgiving Festival is one of the most cherished events in Lodi Vecchio, in the province of Lodi. Heir to an ancient peasant tradition, it celebrates the moment when farmers gave thanks for the fruits that nature had bestowed after hard work in the fields. The event takes place in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the surrounding streets, animating the entire town center.
Peasant tradition and community
The heart of the day is the farmers' market with local products, accompanied by demonstrations of ancient crafts, blessing and mass, the brass band in procession, and workshops for children. There are also parades of herding dogs, majorettes, and marching groups.
An event for all ages
Alongside the traditional part, the festival offers a medieval area with falconers, archers, and merchants, amusement park rides, biodiversity and plant exhibitions, a photographic exhibition, and the traditional charity raffle at the oratory. Organized by the Municipality of Lodi Vecchio, it is a town festival capable of attracting visitors from all over the Lodigiano region.

The 2026 edition of the Harvest Thanksgiving Festival is scheduled for the last Sunday of October in Lodi Vecchio, with events spread throughout the weekend. The farmers' market, demonstrations of ancient crafts, the band with procession and mass, children's workshops, the medieval area, and the rides will return to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the town center.
