The Grigliata Alpina is the summer festival organized by the Gruppo Alpini of Roncola, a municipality in the Valle Imagna in the province of Bergamo. It takes place in August at the sports field of Roncola San Bernardo, on via Canale, and is spread over several weekends, becoming one of the most cherished events of the town's summer.
Mountain Cuisine and Evenings of Music
The menu features the robust and generous tradition of Bergamo: barbecues, casoncelli, polenta taragna, and typical dishes, served from 7 PM. The evenings are enlivened by music and concerts: tributes to Italian song, evenings dedicated to the greatest hits of the '70s, '80s, and '90s, and dance school performances. There are also bouncy castles for children and a free shuttle bus service.
The Livestock Exhibition
Among the most characteristic moments is the livestock exhibition, which in 2025 reached its 61st edition: a day dedicated to the evaluation of livestock, an expression of the agricultural and mountain vocation of the Valle Imagna. The festival thus intertwines Alpine conviviality, mountain cuisine, and the rural culture of the territory, in an event built by the volunteers of the Gruppo Alpini of Roncola, in the province of Bergamo.
