About Casapulla Carnival

Every February, the center of Casapulla, a small town in the province of Caserta, turns into a joyful open-air stage for the Great Carnival. The grand masked parade organized by the Pro Loco, led by King Carnival, sets off from the Church of Sant'Elpidio and winds through the town streets to Piazza Mercato, where children and families can enjoy inflatables, baby dance, face painting, and the best costume contest. A free event that blends local tradition with fun for everyone.

The Carnival that brings color to Casapulla

In the heart of the Terra di Lavoro, just a few kilometers from the provincial capital, the small town of Casapulla (province of Caserta, Campania) celebrates its most vibrant day of the year with the Great Carnival. It is one of those authentic local festivals where the town center fills with confetti, music, and masks, and where entire families take to the streets to share a day of joy.

The King Carnival Parade

The highlight of the event is the grand carnival parade organized by the Pro Loco of Casapulla, led by the King Carnival mask. The procession starts at the Church of Sant'Elpidio and travels through the main streets of the town, drawing citizens and visitors into an atmosphere of celebration and community, eventually reaching Piazza Mercato, the heart of the festivities.

Entertainment in the square for the little ones

Once the parade arrives in Piazza Mercato, the Municipal Administration sets up a rich entertainment program designed primarily for children, but capable of amusing the whole family:

  • Inflatables for the little ones to play on
  • Baby dance with music and group dances
  • Face painting to transform into a favorite fantasy character
  • The "Most Beautiful Mask" contest, which awards the most original costumes

A community celebration

The Great Carnival represents a moment of gathering and appreciation for local traditions in Casapulla, an opportunity to rediscover the pleasure of being together. In a town where everyone knows each other, the festival becomes a collective ritual that renews the bond between generations every year and warmly welcomes visitors from neighboring towns in the province of Caserta.
