About Gravel Carnival
Cycling in the Heart of Winter
The Gravel Carnival is a non-competitive cycling event held in Bassano del Grappa, in the province of Vicenza, during the Carnival period. An opportunity for gravel and mountain bike enthusiasts to meet and ride together to discover the territory.
A Single Scenic Route
The event features a single 60 km route, to be tackled independently following a GPX track. The route winds through the scenic landscapes between Bassano del Grappa and the hills of Marostica, offering picturesque views of the countryside and the slopes of the Grappa massif.
Gravel, MTB, and e-MTB
The ride is open to gravel bikes, mountain bikes, and e-MTBs, starting from Villa Angaran San Giuseppe. As it is a cycling event and not a race, there are no rankings or timing: the goal is the pleasure of riding together, in full Carnival spirit.
Gravel Carnival — edition 2026
The inaugural edition of the Gravel Carnival was held on Sunday, February 22, 2026. The meeting and start were set for 9:00 AM at Villa Angaran San Giuseppe, in Bassano del Grappa.
Participants tackled a single 60 km route independently, following the GPX track through the landscapes of Bassano and the hills of Marostica. As it was the first edition of a non-competitive cycling event, the focus was on group spirit and the pleasure of riding during the Carnival period.

How to get there
The meeting point is at Villa Angaran San Giuseppe, in Bassano del Grappa, reachable by car from the city center. Bassano is connected by train and via the SP248.
Participation
Self-supported cycling event with GPX track. Adequate preparation and equipment are recommended for the gravel/MTB route.
