The Gnocchi Festival and Mother's Day in Pofi, nestled in the heart of the Frosinone province in southern Lazio, was born from a simple idea: to combine the celebration of Mother's Day with the dish that has always been prepared by mothers in Ciociarian homes. Saturday is the evening of entertainment: stalls open in the late afternoon, and the square fills with live music as local families and visitors from neighboring towns gather at communal tables. Sunday, Mother's Day, begins early with a fun run/walk open to everyone, starting from the Piazzone and winding through the village streets—a non-competitive event designed for all ages. This is followed by a highly photogenic vintage car exhibition, and at noon, the most anticipated moment: the distribution of the gnocchi.

Like many events in Ciociaria, the Pofi festival thrives on the volunteer work of the Pro Loco and local associations: dozens of people spend the days leading up to the event setting up, kneading dough, and managing the kitchens.
