The tagliatelle festival in the hamlet of Tramuschio, Mirandola
There are festivals that tell a territory better than any guide, and the Fuiada Festival is one of them. It takes place in Tramuschio, a small hamlet in the Municipality of Mirandola, in the province of Modena, in the heart of the Bassa Modenese, that plain of Emilia-Romagna where conviviality at the table is a serious matter. The name says it all: in Modenese dialect, "fuiada" is tagliatelle, handmade pasta sheets that here become the absolute protagonist of four evenings of celebration.
The heart of the festival is the covered gastronomic stand set up in the Municipal Park on Via Carlo Fila, which opens every evening at 7:00 PM. Reservations are not accepted: you sit down, order, and eat as if at a large village table. On the menu, you'll find the dishes that make the history of this festival:
All accompanied by wines and drinks, in a family atmosphere that is the true secret of its longevity.
In addition to the cuisine, the Fuiada Festival is above all a social event for the hamlet and for all of Mirandola. Every evening the stand comes alive with dance orchestras, DJ sets, and live music, while the charity raffle and artisan market complete the program. It is a festival carefully organized by the volunteers of CSR Tramuschio and the residents of the hamlet, a pillar of the village's social and cultural life, now in its thirtieth edition.
In an area like the Bassa Modenese, rich in summer festivals, the Fuiada stands out for its authenticity and its deep connection with its hamlet. It is the right place if you are looking for the Emilian cuisine of yesteryear, far from tourist circuits, among locals and generous tables. Mirandola, a symbolic city of rebirth after the 2012 earthquake, finds one of its most solid identities precisely in these village festivals.
For its thirtieth edition, the Fuiada Festival confirms the formula that has made it a regular summer event in the Bassa Modenese: four evenings of traditional Emilian cuisine in the Municipal Park of Tramuschio, a hamlet of Mirandola (MO), with the covered stand opening at 7:00 PM and no reservations required.
Alongside the signature dishes — fuiadi with donkey stracotto, pumpkin tortelli, cotechino with beans, grilled chicken, and mixed grills — the evening program offers music and dancing for all ages, with a charity raffle and artisan market accompanying each evening.
Every evening: charity raffle and artisan market.
