The seventh edition, taking place in July 2026, is dedicated to the legendary Sixties, a decade that profoundly transformed Italian society by revolutionizing language, music, fashion, culture, and customs. Through testimonials, songs, sketches, and vintage footage, the performances bring the atmosphere of that unrepeatable era back to life, blending irony and nostalgia.
New locations for 2026
Due to ongoing restoration work at the Terme Taurine, the festival's historic and scenic home, the 2026 edition will take place in two charming city spaces: the Parco Martiri delle Foibe (formerly the Olive Grove) and Porta Livorno, one of the city's monumental gateways. The change of venue does not detract from the character of the event, which is designed to showcase the landmarks that define Civitavecchia's identity.
A Pro Loco project
At the heart of the festival are the actors and volunteers of the Pro Loco of Civitavecchia, joined by local musicians, singers, and dancers. The artistic direction is entrusted to Gino Saladini, author and director of many of the original productions that shape the theme chosen for each year's edition.

The 2026 edition of the festival, the seventh, is themed around the legendary Sixties, a decade that revolutionized language, music, fashion, and customs. Due to work at the Terme Taurine, the shows are held at the Parco Martiri delle Foibe (formerly the Olive Grove) and Porta Livorno. The program opens with a story about the cultural transformation of the decade and continues with an intense musical theatre show, closing with a final evening in early August. Admission requires a 5-euro contribution, with reservations recommended via WhatsApp.

July 10 and 11 — Parco Martiri delle Foibe (formerly the Olive Grove)
"The Season of New Words", written and directed by Francesco Angeloni and Antonio Biso, performed by the actors of the Pro Loco of Civitavecchia. A journey through the cultural changes of the Sixties, featuring testimonials and sketches inspired by Carosello.
- Two performances per evening: 9:00 PM and 10:15 PM
July 24 and 25 — Porta Livorno
"Sixty!", a musical theatre work created by Gino Saladini and Anthony Caruana, which weaves words, music, and images into an intense and emotional narrative. On stage, Gino Saladini in the dual role of narrator and tenor, accompanied by a rich artistic cast with live music and dance.

August 2 — Porta Livorno (final evening)
"The Divinities of Fire", conceived by Gino Saladini, with the voice of Emanuele Seretti and contributions from Maria Zeno. Soundtrack by Anthony Caruana (vocals by Eleonora Bernabei) and video by Pier Paolo Saladini.

Where
The 2026 edition performances will be held at the Parco Martiri delle Foibe (formerly the Olive Grove) and at Porta Livorno, in Civitavecchia (Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, Lazio).
How to get there
Civitavecchia can be reached by train via the Rome-Grosseto Tyrrhenian line (frequent regional and Intercity connections from Rome Termini and Ostiense) and by car via the A12 Rome-Civitavecchia motorway. The city is also a major port hub.
Tickets and reservations

Performances begin in the evening: we recommend arriving early to secure your seat. As these are outdoor events, it is best to wear comfortable clothing suitable for the evening.
