The festival celebrating the frog

In the heart of the Marca Trevigiana, in Santa Lucia di Piave (province of Treviso), the Festa delle Rane is a spring ritual that has been held for over forty years. Organized by the Associazione Enar APS, the event takes place at the Campo Fiera in Via Foresto Est and brings together, evening after evening, entire families, groups of friends, and gourmets from all over the province.

The frog, the absolute protagonist

The signature dish of the festival is fried frog, prepared according to the traditional Venetian recipe that has made this festival famous. At the food stalls, you can also find numerous local specialties, from first courses to grilled dishes, all accompanied by wines from the Treviso hills and a good selection of beers.

Music, conviviality, and tradition

The Festa delle Rane is not just about food: every evening is enlivened by live music, orchestras, and ballroom dancing under the marquee, in an authentic village festival atmosphere. It's an opportunity to rediscover the simple cuisine of rural Veneto, when frogs were a precious food in the countryside crossed by the Piave River.

With over forty years of activity, the festival has become a landmark on the gastronomic event calendar in Veneto, successfully combining the promotion of local traditions with solidarity, as part of the proceeds support the association's local activities.
