A historic festival since 1873
The Fregona Festival is one of the oldest village festivals in the Treviso hills: the first edition dates back to 1873, and in 2025, the 152nd edition was celebrated. It takes place in autumn in Fregona, in the province of Treviso, at the foot of the Cansiglio plateau, and is organized by Pro Loco Fregona together with the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta.
Mountain Cuisine
The heart of the festival is its gastronomy, which offers a traditional Venetian and mountain dish each evening: tripe, the Cansiglio venison stew typical of the area, the festive spit-roast, and fried fish. There are also roasted chestnuts and traditional games.
Music, Procession, and Community
The evenings are enlivened by concerts and live music, while Sunday blends with religious moments: the procession, the solemn mass, and the concert by the Musical Chapel. The Fregona Festival thus combines devotion, gastronomic tradition, and popular celebration, in an event that is a symbol for the town and the Alta Marca Trevigiana.

The Fregona Festival is a historic event held regularly since 1873: in 2025, the 152nd edition took place from October 17th to 19th. The 153rd edition is expected in autumn 2026.
Organized by Pro Loco Fregona and the Parish of Santa Maria Assunta, the festival offers a traditional mountain dish each evening, chestnuts, musical evenings, and the religious moments of Sunday. The precise dates and program will be announced by the organizers closer to the event.

- Themed traditional cuisine each evening: tripe, Cansiglio venison stew, festive spit-roast, and fried fish (some dishes require reservation)
- Roasted chestnut stand and traditional games

- Sunday: procession, solemn mass, and concert by the Musical Chapel
