Sparkling wines, oysters, and culture in the Franciacorta hills
When spring arrives, Franciacorta — the hilly area of the Province of Brescia famous for its Metodo Classico sparkling wine — comes alive with the Spring Festival. A widespread event involving the municipalities of the appellation, including Adro, offering three intertwined aspects: wine, gastronomy, and culture.
Adro and the other municipalities of Franciacorta become a grand enotourism stage for a weekend. The festival is designed for enthusiasts, professionals, and the curious: an opportunity to understand the Metodo Classico, savor unique pairings, and discover the historical and landscape heritage of one of Italy's most fascinating wine regions, just an hour from Milan.
The 2026 edition, the third, confirms the experiential formula of the festival on the weekend of March 14-15. Wineries in Franciacorta — in Adro and other municipalities of the appellation — offer tours, tastings, and bike rides among the vineyards; fifteen restaurants reinvent their menus with the oyster-Franciacorta pairing; the FAI guides tours of monasteries and historic residences.

Adro and Franciacorta can be reached by car from the A4 motorway (about 80 km from Milan, exit at Rovato or Palazzolo) and by train on the Brescia-Iseo-Edolo line.
Experiences at wineries and restaurants must be booked individually with each operator. Sensory tastings at the Consortium cost €20 (€17 for ages 18-30).
