Franciacorta, in the heart of the province of Brescia, is one of Italy's most renowned wine regions, home to the eponymous bubbles produced using the classic method. Every September, the Franciacorta in Cantina Festival celebrates this heritage by opening the doors of the region's wineries for a weekend of tastings, tours, and widespread events.

The event, organized by the Franciacorta Consortium, involves dozens of wineries and hundreds of appointments spread across the local municipalities. Among these, the Municipality of Rovato plays a leading role.

Celebrating the Festival in Rovato

In Rovato, the festival takes the form of 'Celebrating the Festival', a grand evening in Piazza Cavour that brings together dozens of wineries from the Franciacorta Consortium. Visitors can taste different Franciacortas and pair them with the gastronomic excellences offered by local producers and restaurants, in a festive atmosphere in the heart of the historic center.

Rovato is also one of the starting points for the bus tours that, during the festival weekend, connect Brescia, Bergamo, Milan, and Rovato to the wineries, for tours with tastings, gala dinners, and picnics among the vineyards.

Located at the foot of Monte Orfano, in Lombardy, Rovato is one of the gateways to Franciacorta.
