A Journey Through the Flavors of the World in Fabriano

Food&Drink - International Aperitifs is the traveling event that enlivens the historic center of Fabriano, in the heart of the Province of Ancona, in the inland Marche region. For two evenings, the city's establishments, from bars to wine bars to restaurants, open their doors to residents and visitors, offering aperitifs and dinners inspired by cuisines from around the world. Each venue becomes a stop on a grand, widespread route: a culinary itinerary that crosses the city's streets and squares, combining quality, creativity, and tradition.

International Flavors and Themed Atmospheres

The common thread of the event is international gastronomy. Each participating venue dedicates its menu to a different country, accompanying the dishes with decorations and settings that transform each space into a small journey: a way to discover distant cultures while staying in the Marche village. The initiative was created to promote artisan businesses in the food & beverage sector and to showcase local excellences, strengthening the cultural and economic identity of Fabriano.

Guided Tours in the Historic Center

Alongside the gastronomic experience, the event offers guided tours curated by professional guides, designed to showcase Fabriano's historical and artistic heritage. Among the stops are some of the city's symbolic landmarks:

• the Palazzo del Podestà and the famous Sturinalto fountain;
• the Voltone and the Oratorio della Carità;
• the Cathedral and the Church of Sant'Onofrio;
• the ancient district of Castelvecchio.

Thus, the aperitif becomes an opportunity to rediscover Fabriano, a UNESCO Creative City famous for its ancient tradition of handmade paper.

A Local Project

Food&Drink is promoted by Confartigianato Imprese Ancona - Pesaro and Urbino, with the patronage of the Municipality of Fabriano and the support of the Marche Chamber of Commerce. The event is part of the "La Via Maestra - Events and Itineraries" project, which links food and wine initiatives with the discovery of the Marche Region's villages. In recent years, the event has consistently involved about twenty businesses, confirming itself as one of the most anticipated events of the Fabriano spring.
