The culture and fine dining festival of Fontaneto d'Agogna
In the heart of Upper Piedmont, in the town of Fontaneto d'Agogna (Novara), FontanetoArteSapori has for a quarter of a century been the event that best captures the local spirit: conviviality, volunteerism, and a deep love for the territory. Established in 2001 by the Pro Loco Fontaneto d'Agogna APS, the festival has evolved into a widespread cultural showcase that transforms the village's two main squares, Piazza Unità d'Italia and Piazza Castello, into an open-air stage every year from late May to late June.
The formula that made FontanetoArteSapori famous lies in its name: the alternation, night after night, of three distinct souls. On one hand, there are the popular gastronomic evenings—convivial and hearty, designed to bring the entire village together over traditional dishes and specialties prepared by volunteers. On the other, the cultural and theatrical evenings, mostly hosted in the evocative Piazza Castello, ranging from theater and music to author meet-and-greets and visual storytelling. Bridging these are the fine dining evenings, dedicated to sophisticated pairings of wines and premium local products.
The 2026 edition is special: the 25th, or "silver wedding," marks a milestone celebrating twenty-five years of volunteer dedication and community participation. The festival kicks off on Saturday, May 30th, with the concert Waiting for ArteSapori: The Village – Fontaneto in Music, before moving into full swing from June 6th to 27th with the main program.
FontanetoArteSapori is organized by the Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality of Fontaneto d'Agogna and the support of the ATL Terre dell'Alto Piemonte, alongside numerous local partners, from the Confraternity of Wine Friends to local producer associations, volunteer firefighters, the Slow Food chapter, and the UNPLI. The festival also maintains a strong commitment to charity, supporting projects for youth and people with disabilities.
For its twenty-five years, FontanetoArteSapori offers a rich and varied calendar, opening with a concert event and continuing with a well-curated alternation of gastronomic evenings, cultural appointments, and fine dining dinners dedicated to local wines and products.
