Folignano...in Pink

A walk for health and solidarity

Folignano...in Pink is the health walk that takes place every spring in the hamlet of Piane di Morro, in the Municipality of Folignano, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, in the heart of southern Marche. Organised by the Pro Loco of Folignano with the patronage of the Municipality, the initiative combines physical well-being, outdoor life, and social commitment, transforming a simple walk into a moment of community and prevention.

The route on the Cervinara Hills

The route winds along the Cervinara Hills, through hilly landscapes and glimpses of the Folignano area. The start is set in Piazza San Giovanni Paolo II, in Piane di Morro, from which a route designed to be accessible to everyone begins. Along the way, participants are accompanied by AUSER guides, who illustrate the naturalistic and historical aspects of the area.

Prevention and social commitment

The common thread of the event is the prevention of breast cancer and cardiovascular diseases. The walk is indeed a collection of registrations in support of Komen Italia, an association that has been at the forefront of the fight against breast cancer for over twenty-five years: the resources collected contribute to the Race for the Cure in Rome. The event is supported by AVIS and numerous local associations, with information stands dedicated to health and well-being.

An event for the whole family

Folignano...in Pink is an inclusive and accessible event. A breakfast area and the NutriGiocando space, a free workshop on healthy eating for children aged 5 to 12 (booking required), are set up at the starting point. Particular attention is paid to accessibility: an assisted route and dedicated transport services are available for people with disabilities.

A growing tradition in the Marche region

Born a few years ago, the event is now an eagerly awaited appointment in the spring calendar of Folignano and the entire Ascolano area. Walking together, sharing, informing, and taking care of oneself and others: this is the spirit that animates every edition of Folignano...in Pink, one of the most heartfelt solidarity initiatives in the province of Ascoli Piceno.
