The patron saint's festival in the Bassa friulana

Palazzolo dello Stella, a municipality in the Bassa friulana region overlooking the Stella river and close to the Marano lagoon, celebrates its patron saint, Saint Anthony of Padua (feast day June 13th), every year in mid-June. The Fieste di Sant'Antonio are the town's major summer event: a patronal festival that combines devotion, music, engines, and good food.

Concerts, engines, and food stalls

For several days, the festival area comes alive with a rich and varied program. The food and wine stalls offer a substantial menu, with grilled meats, frico, wienerschnitzel, pulled pork, sandwiches, side dishes, desserts, and wine. The evenings come alive with music: DJ sets and, above all, concerts by nationally renowned guests, who have brought well-known Italian entertainment names to Palazzolo over the years.

Among the most popular events is the «Palazzolo in Vespa» rally, which fills the town with vintage scooters and enthusiasts. The event is organized by the Sant'Antonio Festival Committee, a focal point of the town's community life.
