The traditional mid-summer fair in the village of Aveto
The Fiera di Sant'Antonio da Padova is one of the traditional events in Santo Stefano d'Aveto, a village in the Apennines in the Province of Genoa. Linked to the figure of the saint, greatly beloved by popular devotion, the fair marks the beginning of the summer season in the town and its hamlets.
The event is concentrated in Piazza Livellara and along the central streets of the village, where the stalls of a rich and varied fair are set up: typical products, clothing, crafts, and merchandise of all kinds. It is an opportunity for a stroll among the stalls and to experience the atmosphere of a traditional mountain village fair.
The fair is also a good excuse to discover Santo Stefano d'Aveto, a summer and winter holiday destination, dominated by Monte Maggiorasca and famous for its sanctuary dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe. A day that combines the pleasure of open-air shopping with the charm of the Ligurian Apennine landscapes.
The Fiera di Sant'Antonio da Padova returns on June 14, 2026, to liven up Santo Stefano d'Aveto. In Piazza Livellara and the central streets, the fair's stalls will offer typical products, clothing, crafts, and merchandise of all kinds. The event is part of a particularly lively June for the Aveto village.
By car: from Genoa or Chiavari, take the Val d'Aveto road up to Santo Stefano d'Aveto. The fair takes place in Piazza Livellara and the central streets of the village.
Fair on June 14th. Free admission.
